Welcome to our Junior Beginner Program - the perfect starting point for your child's transformative martial arts journey. The Junior Beginner Program at the Centre for Karate Excellence is designed to tap into the boundless energy of children and channel it into a healthy and constructive avenue. Our expert instructors are not only masters of martial arts, but they also understand the unique ways children learn and adapt. They are dedicated to nurturing your child’s physical abilities, mental resilience, and emotional stability through lessons that go beyond just martial arts.
As we guide your children through the basics of karate, we aim to instill confidence, self-esteem, and a love for fitness. *We recommend students under 10 stick to the Junior Beginner classes, at least to begin with, until they have had a chance to adjust.

Beginner Program Frequently Asked Questions

Provided you have received an email confirmation of your registration, you are ready to start in the next class in the timetable. There is no need to book ahead or reserve your place.

The 4 weeks of unlimited classes starts from the date you first attend a class. If you can’t start for some time, that’s not an issue, the program wont start until you are ready.

We are not currently accepting students under 5 years into the Junior Beginner Program. In the future we hope to reintroduce our kinder-age program, but it is not currently an age group we are able to cater for.

Absolutely! We have a dedicated, seated viewing area directly alongside our training mats. Most parents will stay and watch for the first few weeks as their child gets used to the classes. In time the majority of parents become comfortable with a drop off and pick up approach, though some also choose to stay and watch every class. It’s totally up to you.

Not at all. You can choose whichever of the eligible classes to attend that suits. You can also change from class to class, no notice or commitment to any particular session is required. Your schedule is completely flexible.

Prior to the end of the program you will be given the option to join as an ongoing student. All the specific details of your options will be communicated by email at the time. We operate on a pay-by-the month ongoing direct debit. Discounted Annual and Semi-Annual packages are available at the beginning and end of the year.
